Tomato Juice – Tomato juice made from fresh red ripe sweet tomatoes. No preservatives, less sugar, better in taste than store bought juices. very friendly on the pocket. Hardly takes 5 minutes to make. There is no reason for us to buy juices from the market when we can have this absolutely delicious, sweet, thirst quenching juice ready at home in less than 10 minutes.
look at these tomatoes. Don’t you feel like picking one and having it as it is? Nowadays the tomatoes that we are getting are very good. Firm ripe and Sweet. Even my younger son is having them in the salad which is a complete no-no otherwise.
Why I love this juice: I love this juice.I can have 2-3 glasses of this juice in a day. My mother used to make this a lot. There was a time when there was a bumper crop of tomatoes in our vegetable garden. My mother would pick ripe tomatoes daily and make juice in the evening. Now, this is as fresh as it can get. Straight from the garden 😉
By the end of the month, we were all glowing with health. whenever I take a sip of this juice I am reminded of that summer 🙂

How to make Tomato Juice
Preparation time: 5 minutes
no cooking required
makes 4 glasses
4 firm ripe tomatoes
1 tbsp sugar
black salt to taste
black pepper to taste
water to dilute
chopped mint leaves and lots of ice
Note: if we use red ripe tomatoes we will have to add less sugar.
To make Tomato Juice
Chop the tomato pieces and add sugar.
blend until smooth.
Pass through a sieve to remove the seeds. Press the pulp, again and again, to get out the maximum juice.
Add black salt/kaala namak and a pinch of black pepper.
Add chopped mint leaves and dilute with cold water to make 4 glasses.
Serve chilled. This juice tastes best when it is chilled and slightly sweet in taste. So adjust the sugar quantity accordingly. Enjoy and get healthy 🙂
