Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cup boiled chickpeas
  • 2 medium onions chopped
  • 1 small capsicum chopped
  • 2 medium tomato chopped remove the seeds
  • 1 tsp chopped green chilly
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander leaves
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt to taste boiled chickpeas already have salt so add accordingly
  • 1/8 tsp Pepper
  • ¼ tsp Chaat masala
  • 1/8 tsp red chili powder optional

Instructions

  • Mix all the ingredients in a big bowl.
  • Keep in the fridge for 1-2 hours for all the flavors to blend in.
  • Your chickpea salad or chana chaat is ready.
  • Enjoy with your food or have it as a light filling lunch

Notes

Note: you have to wash and soak the chickpeas overnight or at least for 6-7 hours. Boil them with salt in a pressure cooker for 20-25 minutes till soft.
