Suji Uttapam

Ingredients

  • 2 cups semolina /suji
  • 1 cup curd / Dahi
  • ½ tsp red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 green chili chopped
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • ½ cup tomato and capsicum diced
  • ½ cup onions, carrots, and cabbage grated
  • oil for cooking
  • Water for batter

Instructions

  • Mix all the ingredients in a glass bowl except oil and make a batter of dropping consistency using water.
  • Heat a non-stick pan and grease it lightly with oil.
  • Spread a layer of batter on the pan to make a pancake of 3-4 mm thickness.
  • Spread a little oil around the pancake to keep it from sticking to the pan.
  • Cook it over a slow flame until the base is golden brown.
  • Turn over to cook the other side.
  • Remove from the pan and serve hot.
  • Repeat with the remaining batter to make five more pancakes/ Uttapam.
