Mix all the ingredients in a glass bowl except oil and make a batter of dropping consistency using water.
Heat a non-stick pan and grease it lightly with oil.
Spread a layer of batter on the pan to make a pancake of 3-4 mm thickness.
Spread a little oil around the pancake to keep it from sticking to the pan.
Cook it over a slow flame until the base is golden brown.
Turn over to cook the other side.
Remove from the pan and serve hot.
Repeat with the remaining batter to make five more pancakes/ Uttapam.
