Ingredients

for fries

  • 3 large potatoes
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp red pepper powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper powder
  • ½ tsp chaat masala optional
  • coriander Cilantro leaves to garnish

for cucumber mint yogurt dip

  • ½ cup hung curd/ yogurt
  • 6-7 Mint leaves finely chopped
  • ½ cucumber grated
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

To make Oven-baked French fries

  • Preheat your oven to 200 C.
  • Wash potatoes thoroughly and peel them.
  • Cut them lengthwise into even-sized thin wedges.
  • Prick them with a fork or knife.
  • In a bowl add potatoes, 2 tbsp oil, and the rest of the ingredients.
  • Toss well to coat the potatoes well with spices.
  • You can adjust spices according to your taste.
  • Spread the rest of the oil on the baking tray and arrange potatoes in a single layer.
  • Bake them for 20 minutes.
  • Turn them over using a metal spatula and bake again for 10 minutes until crisp and golden brown. Drain them on a paper towel to drain any excess oil.

To make cucumber mint yogurt dip

  • Mix hung curd, mint, and cucumber in a bowl. Season it with salt and pepper.

I prefer thin wedges as they bake quickly and thoroughly
