Aloo pyaz ke pakode, bhaji, bhajia, fritters call it whatever you like, they taste heavenly. A combination of finely chopped potatoes, onions, lots of green chilies, ginger, chopped coriander and spices deep fried to perfect golden brown color.
Other fritters you can check are Moong Dal pakode and Pumpkin Fritters.
What can I say about samosa? A yummy spicy stuffing of boiled potatoes, peas and nuts in a covering of plain flour dough and then fried. Samose is one of the most popular Indian street food also. Check the recipe to see the step by step folding techniques.
Rice Idli or Rava Idli, a healthy breakfast option loved by all. when we pair it up with coconut chutney and sambhar we get ourselves a healthy filling nutritious breakfast. my favorite, Rice idli (though needs some advance planning) is a healthier option as it is fermented. Fermented foods are good for your gut and digestive system.
Chole Bhature has been my kid’s favorite breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack option for many years now. This is the best thing about this dish that you can have these any time of the day. A dough of plain flour is made with sour curd. It is left for some hours for fermenting. These oblong or round bhaturas are made by deep frying.
oh God, I am drooling already and I still have 6 options left π
Moong Dal Cheela or Lentil Pancakes
I love it. This is also a healthy option for breakfast. Moong dal cheela or Besan cheela can be filled with peas cottage cheese filling of spinach onion filling to turn it into a filling breakfast.
Dhoklas are quite popular because of 1. being healthy 2. yummy sweet and tangy taste 3. really easy to make.

Stuffed Parathas
Stuffed parathas are the boss. There is a huge variety to choose from.
You can have Aloo, Mooli, paneer, carrot, peas, Cauliflower stuffed parathas to name a few. You can pair it up with a dollop of butter, green chutney, pickle, aloo ki rasedar sabji and of course curd.
poha is light, filling breakfast option made even more healthy by addition of veggies like potato, onion, carrots, and peas. Curry leaves, rai tadka add flavor, peanuts are added for crunchiness and served with a slice of lemon. you can always try my mom’s way by adding some orange segments to it. Tastes YUM !!!
Uttapams is another healthy breakfast option which is made from rice and dal batter used for making Dosa and idli. Suji Uttapam is a fast version where the batter is made with semolina/suji and thick sour curd. The best thing is that you get to add loads of veggies and still make your kids happy.
Aloo pyaz ki kachori is also quite a popular street food especially here in Rajasthan. let me tell you, The stuffing of boiled potatoes and onions is what the dreams are made of. you have to try it to know what I am saying;-)
