15 Vegetarian Indian Lunch Ideas – It’s a big struggle in each household about what to make for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Axat has prepared a menu card just like one we get in hotels ;-)so that when we discuss what it is we want to eat we should not have trouble remembering the options;-).
Today, I am sharing 15 Vegetarian Indian Lunch Ideas/ lunch pics. These were enjoyed by my family so thought about sharing them with you. when you are raking your brains about what to make for lunch, maybe this list will come in handy. This is a reference list only. Some recipes are on the blog some are not. I have added a link to the recipes I have on the blog.
15 Vegetarian Indian Lunch Ideas
North Indian Lunch generally consists of Roti/ chapati, Dal, green vegetable, curd, salad, etc. There are so many options available. It depends on our taste and availability of vegetables what combination we want. I have shared my regular lunch pics just to give you an idea.
Kadhi Pakodi, Rice, and Salad
Parathas, Bottle Gourd/Lauki Kofta Curry, Curd, Dal Fry, Steamed Rice, Green Salad, Karele, and pickled ginger
Panchmel Dal, Parathas, Curd, Khatta Meetha Kaddu, Bhindi, and Fruits.
Chole Masala, Parathas, Curd, Ridge gourd dry sabji, Sprouts salad, and lemon pickle.
Parathas, Chaach, Matar Paneer, Aloo french Beans, Green chutney, salad, and seasonal fruits.
Paneer Bhurji and Parathas
Rajma Masala, Steamed rice, Pickled ginger, Cucumber onion, and tomato Kachumber salad, and mint chutney.
Aloo Tikki topped up with a generous quantity of chole, Green Chutney, Tamarind chutney, and chopped onions, tomatoes, and green chilies.
Steamed Rice, Panchmel Dal, Dry potato capsicum sabzi, Chaach, gobi Gajar Shalgam achaar, Onions, and Mango.
Roti, Curd, panchmel dal, Jeera Aloo, salad, Rice and achaar.
Ridge Gourd Sabji, Paneer Jalfrezi, Roti, Karele ki sabji and curd.
Poori, Paneer Butter Masala, Boondi Raita, Khatta Meetha pumpkin, Rasedar aloo ki sabzi, and fruits.
Bhindi Pyaz, Curd, Palak Paneer, fruit, salad, and Roti.
Roti, Masoor Dal, Paneer Makhani, Potato Stir fry, Boondi Raita, and cucumber.

Thank you so much, Agness. I will be sharing the recipe for Panchmel Dal soon on the blog. It is a combination of five Dals ( Arhar, dhuli masoor, dhuli moong, Chana Dal and Urad. These are boiled in water with salt and turmeric. And then a tempering is added to add spice and flavors.
