Barbeque Nation Jaipur restaurant review

April 27, 2016 by Nidhi Leave a Comment

Barbeque nation Jaipur - restaurant review | whatscookingmom.inBarbeque Nation Jaipur – restaurant review – Barbeque Nation has been on our list of restaurants to try for a long time. There have been many times when we made a program but could not go for one reason or other. Finally this Sunday we were able to go there and taste their dishes to our heart’s content (stomach’s too ). They have both Veg and non- veg options. We took veg Sunday lunch buffet.

But a word of advice before you go there with images of paneer tikkas and what, not in your mind. Book your Table first.
There was a long waiting list and we had to wait for 30 minutes before we were ushered inside. And when there is the smell of paneer tikka in air waiting of 30 minutes is pure torture 😉  our stomachs were growling loudly by the time we were seated.

But once you are inside things take on a positive turn. The staff is very courteous and polite. Since this was our first visit to Barbeque Nation whole concept was explained to us.

Barbeque Nation has this unique concept of a live grill.  Your appetizers are prepared in the kitchen and then they are placed on skewers on your table on a live grill so that you can have them hot.

Appetizers were really good. you can have an unlimited supply of appetizers and having them hot directly from grill definitely, adds the wow factor. Cajun spiced potatoes, Paneer tikka, and B B Q pineapple were too good. Achari Mushrooms were fine but I didn’t care much for soya Chaap.

Service is fast and skewers are replaced immediately so that you do not have to wait for food. If you find anything spicy you can tell them and they will get next batch for you that is less spicy.

Corn was crisp, spicy and definitely yummy.

you can order one complementary drink with appetizers. We chose Iced Tea and lady in pink. Both were good but there could be more choice in mocktails.

The main course was not that impressive though there were lots of choices. You can easily skip the soup. After tasting one spoon we did.

The food was quite so-so especially after having such mouth watering appetizers. Pasta and chow mien + Manchurian were good.
Gatte was a disappointment so was paneer. Grilled Vegetable masala was perfect. Biryani Dum was also good.

Now to my favorite part.

DESSERT 🙂

For vegetarians, there was icecream, Kulfi in 6 flavors, gulab jamun and phirni.
Phirni was served in a very small kulhad and it was perfect in taste. Even portion size was perfect.

Though there were quite a lot of choices most of them had egg in them.
But with 6 flavors of Kulfi to choose from you can’t really care.

Kulfis were YUM. you should try mango kulfi with mango sauce and anjeer kulfi with butterscotch sauce.

Paan kulfi sprinkled with paan masala and Gulkand. Delicious…..

We paid Rs. 550 + taxes for each which was a bit on high side.

So all in all our experience was good. Will we visit it again? most definitely 🙂
