Roti Nachos – Don’t we all love Nachos? while watching movies, on long drives, on a picnic with kids. But we can’t really let our kids eat packaged food very regularly as it is not good for health. These Roti nachos solve that problem.
Quite similar in taste and crunchiness to nachos these are made with leftover rotis. Leftover rotis are a little dry hence they make better crispy nachos. you will not get the same result with fresh roti/ chapati.
Just look at that. Kids absolutely loved these as I had served these with yummy spicy tomato salsa. All left over roti gone, all nachos finished, kids happy, mummy double happy.
You can store these after they have cooled down completely. you can take these with you on picnics or enjoy these on movie nights.
How to make Roti Nachos
Preparation time: 2 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
4 leftover roti/ parantha ( left over rotis work better for this recipe than fresh ones as these are drier)
salt to taste
1/4 tsp red chili pepper
1/4 tsp chaat masala
oil to deep fry
Optional: Tomato salsa to serve with
To make Roti Nachos
Take leftover rotis/ parathas. Separate the layers to get thin crispy nachos.
Cut into triangles. You will get around 16 nachos from 1 roti if you separate both layers.
Deep fry in hot oil till crispy and crunchy.
That’s it. Nachos are ready. Sprinkle salt, pepper and chaat masala and give chips a good toss so that they are coated uniformly with salt and spices.
you can enjoy these as it is or you can serve them with tomato salsa, curd dip or cheese dip
Enjoy these nachos in breakfast, as tea time snack, or you can send these in kids lunch box also with some salsa or dip.
