Bread Dahi Vada with fruits has to be one of the easiest and quickest recipes. We generally make Dahi vada with soaked lentils and they taste awesome. No doubt. But there are a few problems also. Like these require some soaking time. So you have to plan ahead. Then there is frying. It is so hot this summer that your appetite dies and you do not feel like having food. Frying is definitely out of question. Cold food made in a jiffy is welcome in this season.
I have seen this recipe on the internet but never tried it. I thought bread Dahi vada can’t really compete with Dahi vada made with lentils.
Recently I went to my friend Nidhi Dhanotia’s house. She had made this bread Dahi vada with lots of other yummy dishes. These were so good that I took two helpings. She had filled the vada with fruits which added to the taste. There was not a big difference in taste in traditional Dahi vadas and these bread Dahi vada. This means you can enjoy chaat without spending a lot of time in a hot kitchen. I took the procedure photos at her home while she was preparing these. You can see how easy these are.
These are perfect for an evening snacks, kitty parties, or for serving guests. Now that kids are at home all the time because of summer vacations and they are hungry all the time you can make these for them in a jiffy.
