Anokhi Cafe Jaipur restaurant review – Anokhi Cafe is situated at 2nd floor, kk square, Prithviraj road, Jaipur. This was our first visit to Anokhi cafe. It has been on our list for too long as we are frequent visitors to crossword on the 1st floor of the same building but somehow we always missed the chance. Well like they say better late than never π
Anokhi Cafe is quite famous for its ambiance, cakes, and salads. Most of the food is prepared from the fresh seasonal organic produce which they grow at their Anokhi Farm. That actually was the main attraction for us.
Another thing that impressed us was how the food was displayed. You can get an idea of the quantity you will get on ordering a particular dish. Sometimes you want to try a new dish but can’t decide only on the basis of ingredients but visual display solves that problem also.
The ambiance of the place is really nice and positive. I would give them full marks for that. We went there on Sunday afternoon. The cafe is quite popular with locals and tourists. There was not enough seating space so there was some waiting. We are encouraged to share tables with others when we are waiting.
Anokhi Cafe Jaipur restaurant review
The Mediterranean platter was ok. Hummus was good but Baba ganoush was ok. flatbreads were nice, warm and soft.
Foccacia with cheese and pesto was superb. Foccacia was perfectly toasted, crisp and flavourful.
we tried Manoushe for the first time. Sj, who is turning out to be a bigger foodie than Axat, and I was bent upon ordering this even with all the greens π
Manoushe is a flatbread sandwich with zaatar, onions, tomato, mint leaves, and olives and served with lots of green. They have a whole wheat option also. It was really good. we liked the flavors in this.
Oj was sold out on the first sight of cholate cake which I have to say was really looking very tempting. So this was the first finalized item off our menu π It was very delicious, crumbly, not overly sweet Just perfect.
( you can see him waiting eagerly for me to finish taking pics so that he can dig in)
we also ordered Coffee cake which had a nice subtle coffee flavor but it was a little dense.
We have also ordered Chargrilled Zucchini, feta cheese pizza. Didn’t care much for it though. It was too bland for our taste.
we bought their wholemeal bread also which was awesome π
we paid around Rs 1700 for 4 person
So, here is the verdict ( out of five)
