Bel Milk shake – Bel or Beal Or wood Apple has lots of health benefits. It is available in summers. Its sharbat is very popular. Bel juice/sharbat is the best drink to have in summers because of its health benefits and cooling properties. If you make its Sharbat then you must try Bel milk shake. Yummy flavourful and with a very cooling effect on the stomach. Bel shake is quite thick and has a smoothie like consistency.
Bel fruit has many health benefits. It helps in reducing cholesterol, aids in digestion, good for diabetic people, relieves constipation, good for skin and overall health.
a perfect ripe bel fruit pulp is very aromatic and slightly sweet in taste. if you make juice or shake from this you can skip adding sugar also which is another bonus point in its favor. In summers when it becomes difficult to control sugar intake with all the sharbat, squash and shakes we are having there is one drink which is cool, refreshing, healthy and can be made without any added sugar.
Bel milkshake is not as popular as bel juice/sharbat but I think it is seriously underrated. This is an aromatic, satisfying cool milkshake.
How to make Bel Milk shake
Preparation time: 10 minutes
no cooking required
makes 2 glass
1 ½ cup bel fruit pulp ( I got 2 cups pulp from 1 Bel fruit. 1 ½ cup pulp gave good flavor. you can use more if you like)
2 cups cold milk
1 tsp sugar ( optional)
1 cup water
Note: always add cold milk to the pulp to make the shake.
To make Bel Milk shake
open bel fruit and Scoop out the pulp. With the help of your hands or some serving spoon mash the pulp.
now add a little water and pass the pulp through the sieve to remove seeds. Use as little water as you can for a thick shake.
I got around 2 cups of pulp but 1 ½ cup gave good enough flavor in milk. you can use it all if you like.
Note: if you have some extra pulp you are not using in the shake you can use that to make Bel ka sharbat.
This is the pulp after passing through the strainer. Add milk, bel fruit pulp, and sugar ( if you are adding ) in your blender and blend.

- Add milk, bel fruit pulp, and sugar ( if you are adding ) in your blender and blend.
- Bel Milk Shake is ready.
2. Always add cold milk to the pulp to make the shake.
